HISTORY OF THE LIVING WATER BIBLICAL INSTITUE

The Living Water Biblical Institute (L.W.B.I.) was birthed in 2005 under the God‑ordained leadership of Dr. Tony G. Davis and Dr. Sonya D. Davis. Founded with a clear mandate from the Lord, the Institute was established to equip the people of God, strengthen the Body of Christ, and raise up effective, Spirit‑filled leaders who would impact the world for the Kingdom.

What began as a small, intimate gathering of seven dedicated students in the Davis home in Petersburg, Virginia, quickly grew into a thriving academic and spiritual training center. These first students met faithfully, pursuing their graduate studies under the personal mentorship and instruction of Drs. Tony and Sonya Davis—laying the foundation for what would become a global ministry training institution.

A Milestone of Growth and God’s Faithfulness

In August 2006, L.W.B.I. celebrated a historic moment: its first graduating class of seven students—a testimony to perseverance, divine purpose, and the power of vision.

From that humble beginning, the Institute continued to expand. Today, more than 100 students have successfully earned Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, completing their studies either online or at the Petersburg, Virginia campus. Many of these graduates now serve as pastors, teachers, evangelists, counselors, missionaries, and leaders across the nation.

Despite tremendous growth and numerous milestones, Living Water Biblical Institute remains steadfast in its founding purpose:
